Can you believe that Thanksgiving is almost here already? Are you going to hit the road along with millions of others to head to a friend or relative's house? Wednesday is usually the biggest travel day, and so far the weather looks like it will work out almost everywhere, especially across the Southeast. High pressure is our friend in these cases, ensuring dry skies, dry roads, and light winds. Temperatures should be only a few degrees away from the average high which is in the upper 50s. Thanksgiving Day looks to still be on the quiet side, but another storm system will be gathering strength out to the west, and we'll have another chance of rain on Friday and then again late Sunday. The timing can change, but I'm concerned about all the folks that will be driving home - usually Sunday - and the slick roads they could face. Just take it easy out there and remember that any wet leaves around on the road will make it extra slick.
