Spring is truly a time of year to enjoy...except for the soaring pollen counts! Grass has made it's appearance on our count over the past week as rain this month has helped area lawns to green and numerouls lawnmowers to start.
The rain we've been seeing is very important, and we've been glad to have cold fronts edging into our area to help trigger that rain. Besides the beautiful flowers and green lawns, Spring is great because it's a transition time in nature.
Those cold fronts are still able to make it this far south, and after several days of humid weather we get a break when these systems move through. It's almost nature's way of allowing us to slowly adjust instead of throwing us into 90 degree weather with the stickiness to go along with it. Another cold front is on the way to the area by Sunday to help more widespread rain to form, and behind it - Yes! - a round of refreshingly cooler air and low humidity. Highs around the Upstate could stay in the 60s by Monday with sunshine around.
Enjoy these temporary breaks, because once summer arrives and gets into gear, those fronts won't be able to make it and outside of any tropical threats, the only rain we'll see is of the pop up variety where your neighbors may see rain but you won't. Either way, we're in good shape thanks to abundant rainfall over the past five months. Let's hope we can keep the rain - and temperatures in check! Happy mowing!
