    It's been a long hot month for us around the Western Carolinas with mostly dry conditions. June's not over, though, and with high rain chances over the next few days, we have a chance to avoid seeing the driest June on record. Besides the dry weather, we've dealt with early summer heat we haven't seen in a while.

    Going through a pregnancy during the summer months is harder than one would expect. Many folks told me how sorry they felt for me when they found out I am due in late August. Here's the latest on how things are going and how I plan to survive the summer heat with over thirty pounds of extra baby weight!
