Well, here I am. That’s a belated response to those (at least two) of you who were wondering why I have not appeared here in “blog-space” yet.
The word “blog” is a “portmanteau” of web and log. I had to look up “portmanteau”, and I promise I will try my hardest in the future to keep you from having to look up something in order to figure out what I’m saying. By the way, “portmanteau” refers to a word formed by combining the sounds and meanings from two other words. Like “spork” or “ginormous”. Which makes we wonder why I’m not writing a wog.
What might you expect in the future as you venture across this part of wspa.com? You might find in-depth forecast discussions, reactions to weather-related stories, answers to your questions, or the occasional loose thought that might fall out of my head (no comment from you, Mr. Fred Cunningham). Chances are those thoughts are going to be weather-related, but so much of our lives can be affected by weather, that opens this up to a range of subjects.
I’m hoping to update this as needed. Which could mean once or twice a week; it might mean once a day. It depends on how interesting our weather gets, the frequency of weather-related news, and your response to it all. So check back often…or you might miss something!
