As is rather typical for this time of year, our weather locally has been pretty quiet. Sure, we’ve had some temperature swings, but no big storm system or big weather story to latch onto…at least not locally. Therefore, “blog silence” from me lately.
Even our Election Day weather was quiet, with only clouds and a few stray sprinkles for some of you. That removed one possible angle that comes up every big election…how will weather affect the vote? Well, the answer would have been inconclusive…while inclement weather can drive down the number of voters, there is no conclusive study to show that this has any effect on which party would benefit…different studies say different things on this.
Until something interesting happens, here’s the update:
Fall color: peaking in the foothills and into the Upstate…
Hurricane season: runs through this month…
Drought: Still bad, and we still need some big rainfall…
Here’s hoping that when the big rain comes, it’s just rain…our biggest ice storms of recent years have occurred over the first half of December, and that’s not too far away!
