Update on 24-7 Weather...

Wednesday morning (11/4) I received the full update on how the re-airing of the 24/7 weather information is progressing, as it moves from digital channel 7-2 to digital channel 62-3.

I will spare everyone the full technical details, but there are some hoops that still need to be jumped through to meet certain FCC requirements. And it turns out each hoop requires some modifications to or rerouting of the fancy electronics that keep everything broadcasting across Channel 62.

The bottom line: The plan to be again be broadcasting our weathercasts 24/7 is still a go. Because the equipment changes are more complicated than having someone run to the hardware store for a few extra parts, there is no longer a timetable.

Thanks for your patience, and if once we're looking at an imminent broadcast, I'll let you know.
