As the very hot air builds back into the Southeast over the next couple of days, I thought I'd toss out a few random facts from January 10 of this year to cool you down:
Widespread heavy snow of five to ten inches. A light coating of ice on top of that. Day two in a run of five straight days of highs in the 30s in the Upstate.
If you like cold weather, hold on to those "chilling" thoughts...you're going to need them. If you hate winter, maybe it's reason to put up with the extreme heat?
Which extreme would you rather have: near 100-degree heat, or highs in the 30s with snow and ice? I choose the middle...give me October!
