It's so accepted that the contenders will "shift to the middle" on some issues to attract independent voters. Why can't they just let us know those adjustments back during the nomination process?
Why do college football conferences select all-conference teams during the preseason? No games have been played since the end of the previous season when the all-conference teams were picked. The only thing that's changed is that the all-conference seniors aren't eligible anymore.
And why do some leagues pick a first and second preseason all-conference team?
I was a waiter a few decades ago, so I can ask this question: why are tips to servers based on the bill? I guess I mean more specifically, why should I give a higher tip for delivery of a plate with a $15 meal on it compared to a plate with a $10 dinner on it? Again, I used to be a waiter so I know tipping on the bill is probably the only was to ensure a server gets a quality gratuity.
