It's Friday and The Fredster Feels Pretty Smart

This is the best I could do to find a Tina Fey picture with her wearing glasses.

So why do I suddenly feel so smart? Well I've made two predictions to family, friends friends and co-workers (but, not on the air or online at wspa.com) about two completely unrelated topics.

Yeah, if I was brave I would have gone big-time public with my premonitions.

However, it's been my experience that few people remember when I was correct on something, but most people can recall my failed predictions with the ease and detail of their first girlfriend or boyfriend.

Prediction 1

Tina Fey will return from 30 Rock to Saturday Night Live and portray Sarah Palin through the November election.

This idea came from when I saw Palin introduced by John McCain two weeks ago today and joked "wow, McCain picked Tina Fey!"

And now here's a Friday headline from the New York Post:

'SNL' STILL IN LAST-MINUTE TALKS TO GET FEY TO PLAY LOOK-A-LIKE PALIN IN TOMORROW'S OPENER

Prediction 2

Stephen Garcia will return to play football at USC and he'll play before the end of September.

The way Steve Spurrier goes through quarterbacks, I assumed Garcia would be on the field in no time through a simple process of elimination. That's playing time even after Garcia missed spring practice and the summer workouts with the rest of the offense.

I now present this headline from Friday's The State newspaper:

Practice report: Garcia could play Saturday

I did make these predictions. I really, really did.

Would I lie?
