There will be many toy drives this holiday season.
But one going on this Sunday 11/8 carries a special memory with it.
It's the day of the sixth annual "Syl Syl Christmas Toy Drive."
The toy drive is 2 - 4 pm at "The Clock Restaurant" on West Poinsett Street in Greer.
It's in memory of Sylvia Holtzclaw.
Sylvia was the bank teller and mother who lost her life in the Blue Ridge Savings Bank robbery in May 2003.
Sylvia, "Syl Syl" to her friends, was known for her special love of children.
Toys should be new and unwrapped. All age groups are needed.
The gifts will be distributed by the Greer Police Department "Cops for Tots" program.
Your generosity will be appreciated on behalf of all the local children depending on this program for a gift this Christmas.
Syl Syl will appreciate it too.
