Chimney Rock Parck
This Saturday 6/06/09 we took some friends and our children to Chimney Rock. We love it and have been going there for many years now. I do remember that just over a year ago the young child who lost his life. I have always and still consider the park and trails safe as I have been taking my boys since they were 2yrs old. Today my seven year old son fell and broke his arm, It was very frightning as he was in a lot of pain there were no quick emergancy response personell around. We had to call 911 from the trail and hike still 15 min. down to the parkinglot with my son in I know that it is hard with a park as big as this but there has got to be some way that they can place someone in these areas. Someone with band aides and splints and other material.
I am by no means mad I love the park and we are going to go back next weekend, I am just stating my concern. If it were not for mine and my husband Emergancy training we would have really been just beside ourselves.
There must be something that can be done.
