Unemployment

»  Comments | Post a Comment

My name is Brian Ivey and I've been drawing unemployment since Oct 17 of last year. My year just ended Oct 11, however the unemployment office said I have 10 more weeks left to draw. That's not the problem though, the problem is, the Gaffney office said I wouldn't have a waiting week because I didn't have a 0 balance. So I waited for my check to be deposited into my account and it never came. So I called Columbia and they said it would be 3-4 weeks. So what are people supposed to do. All of my bills are due now and I've extended as far as I can. My phone and everything is about to be cut off, not to mention, my car insurance is due Oct 27. What are people supposed to do? I've contacted Gov. Sanford, and the president, But I might as well contact Santa Claus because I get no answers. They say look for work but if I did get a kob how would they contact me? I can't pay my phone bill. Is this legal? Can they really do people this way?
