(AP) - Whitney Houston's funeral is set for Saturday in the New Jersey church where she began singing as a child.
The funeral home director says the service will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark. No wake is planned.
The singer was found dead in her hotel room in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

It could be weeks before investigators know exactly how Whitney Houston died.
The Grammy award winner was found dead Saturday in a bathtub in her Beverly Hills hotel room.
A coroner conducted an autopsy on the 48-year-old, but it could be weeks before toxicology results are in.

Whitney Houston's daughter taken in ambulance
Paramedics say they took Whitney Houston's daughter to a Los Angeles hospital Sunday morning for unspecified medical reasons.
The Beverly Hills Fire Department says Bobbi Kristina Brown was taken from the Beverly Hills Hilton around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, less than a day after her mother died in a room at the same hotel.
The 18-year-old's condition was not immediately known.
An email message sent to a representative of her father, Bobby Brown, was not immediately returned.
Coroner's officials received Whitney Houston's body early Sunday morning, but have not yet said when an autopsy will occur. Any cause of death determination will likely be delayed while they await toxicology results.

Singer Whitney Houstion, one of the world's biggest stars of the 1980s and 90s died at the age of 48.
Her pubilcist confirmed her death but would not comment on where or how Houston died.
Houston's career was cut short after battles with drug use. Her comeback tour stalled when the singer's voice lost it's trademark clarity.
There is no indication at this time that drugs played a role in her death.
