Is Your Pool Taking You For A Swim?; Green Ideas In The Water

»  Comments | Post a Comment

It's summertime and we all love to jump in the pool to cool off. But did you know that by doing a few simple things, you can save money and save the environment with your pool.

Pools lose their heat to evaporation, causing a lot of water and energy loss. Using a pool cover, expecially a solar cover to cut your water loss in half. A solar cover also helps keep your pool cleaner, saving you money on chemicals used to treat the water.

You can also cut back on filter use. By turning off your filter when you aren't using the pool, tons of carbon dioxide won't be released into the air. Also, lowering the temperature by one degree can save you 10 percent in energy costs.
