Worried about your weight this holiday season?
A local weight loss group is helping people keep the pounds off while helping the needy.
They partnered with United Ministries in Greenville so people can clean out their cabinets of tempting foods and give them to someone in need.
According to dieticians you should get rid of starchy pastas, rice and baked beans which can be high in sugar.
Davida bryant says all food banks are hurting. She says they desperately need help especially if you have food you know you don't want to eat.
United ministries says they'll also take those fruitcakes and other goodies you receive as gifts. Just make sure they are still good and wrapped appropriately.
