Thanksgiving is over and you know what that means, leftovers! Dieticians say if you don't want to pack on the pounds make sure you don't eat those leftovers all at once.
Cindy Thomas with Greenville Hospital System says it doesn't matter if you have turkey for breakfast lunch and dinner. Just make the portions small and that way you will keep you metabolism going at a higher rate.
Thomas says, "It would make their body feel better because they would be eating smaller amounts of food three times a day instead of one huge meal that's just going to make them go into chemical overload."
When your body is in chemical overload that's when you get that that's the tired feeling after a meal.
Thomas says when you go into chemical overload from the massive amount of calories consumed you store fat instead of burn it because your brain tells your body to rest.
She says if you can just get moving, even walking to the mailbox and back after a big meal will help.
