Ervin Nelson wins August Caring for the Carolinas Award

»  Comments | Post a Comment

We were pleased to present our August Caring for the Carolinas Award to Ervin Nelson. Ervin volunteers everyday at the Greater Spartanburg Ministries, running their food pantry and encouraging those that come through the doors. Ervin has also started a food pantry at his own church, Foster's Chapel Baptist Church in Jonesville. Whitney Gregory wrote the Caring for the Carolinas team telling us all about Ervin and how he would help anyone. Whitney says he has helped her during tough times, and he has helped give presents to children who wouldn't otherwise have a Christmas. Ervin and his wife Beulah have also adopted and fostered 10 children. Ervin Nelson says his reward in heaven and that empowers them to serve their community. "If you reach out to others, God will reach out to you, " said Nelson.
