February Caring for Carolinas Award Winner: Jeanisa Moore

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Jeanisa Moore of Ninety- Six is the winner of our February Caring for the Carolinas Award. Jeanisa was paralyzed after a fall from her attic in 2003. Jeanisa's doctors told her that her injury level from the fall should have taken her ability to sing. Jeanisa, a faithful singer, says she doesn't know what she would do if she didnt have the ability to worship through song in church. Moore says God had a plan for her and not only gave back her voice, but also led her into a music ministry. Jeanisa travels around the area to different nursing homes sharing her powerful testimony and beautiful voice. Volunteer Coordinators say Jeanisa not only cheers up their residents, but she also gives them hope that anything is possible despite their challenges. Jeanisa says she loves doing this and says that she hopes people will turn their disability into an ability to do something awesome.
