»  Comments | Post a Comment

A Boy Scout Troop Leader said eight boys have tested positve for the H1N1 Flu after visiting Camp Daniel Boone in Waynesville, NC. Leaders think the flu came from a troop that was visiting from Florida. The scouts are from Dunwoody, Georgia. Many of the sick campers are starting to show signs they are recovering, getting their appetites back, but the sickness has lasted for nearly a week.
Assistant Scout Master Ed Cerbone said, " The kids were running fevers, some of them were headaches, cough, kind of your classic flu symptoms. And that started the kids from Florida originally started getting sick on, I think it was Tuesday morning".
The camp has told scouting leaders it is thoroughly cleaning all the facilities. Parents of the other children are monitoring them for signs of the flu.
