Five after-school clinics, operated by DHEC, have been scheduled for GCS students in 3K-5th grade. The first vaccination clinic is Tuesday, November 10 at Armstrong ES.
The Vaccination Process
1. Consent Form is reviewed and eligibility for flu vaccine determined.
2. Parent/Student is assigned a number and sent to another area to receive vaccine
3. Parent/Student sent to nursing station for vaccine and short observation.

Your help is needed to reinforce our efforts to inform parents of the following information.
· Vaccination clinics are pending availability of H1N1 flu vaccine. Supply will be limited.
· H1N1 vaccinations are free and voluntary.
· Parent/Guardian must be present for child to be vaccinated.
· Do not arrive at clinic site until 2:50 pm to allow school hosting clinic to dismiss students.
· After-school clinics are ONLY for younger students (3K-5th grade) attending GCS schools and staff at those schools. Parents and other family members are NOT included.
· Clinics for older children will be scheduled when those for younger children are completed.
· Children under ten years of age will need a second H1N1 vaccination after a minimum of four weeks.
