Many of you have expressed concerns about the H1N1 virus circulating through schools. Around the Upstate, districts are sending letters home and posting information on their websites. DHEC is also meeting with school districts to work out details of a vaccine program which would be available to your child at school in November. Dr. Melissa Overton, Medical Director for DHEC says, "We will have enough for two shots for every child and staff who wants the vaccine." The shots will be voluntary and free for children and staff. Parents must sign a release form for children to participate.
