COLUMBIA, SC--The Carolina Recycling Association, along with other industry groups, plan to unveil the newest South Carolina license plate at the Annual South Carolina Recycling Industry Legislative Day. This unveiling will occur on February 3, 2010 at 9:30 AM on the first floor of the Statehouse in Columbia, South Carolina.

The new license plate will now feature the slogan "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" and the triangular recycling logo.

The Carolina Recycling Association is intended to serve as an educational reminder to South Carolina residents that natural resources are their most valuable assets.

The plate was approved by the General Assembly in May 2009, and are now available at the cost of $30.00 every two years, not including regular motor vehicle fees. Proceeds from the license plate sales will go towards promoting South Carolina's recycling industry's efforts.
