An easy way to fix a leaky toilet is simply to replace the rubber flapper. It doesn't cost a lot of money and it can save you 200 gallons of water waste a day.
Another place where you could be losing a lot of water is with your garden hose outside. So one thing you want to make sure to do is replace the washer that's inside of the hose. That will prevent leakage that you don't even know about.
Another way to make sure you are not wasting water is to have your landscape irrigation system checked for any hidden leaks that you may not even realize are there.
