Three people are charged in connection with the Jandie Finley case, which is now being called a murder.
Finley's body was found Thursday afternoon day in a wooded area in
Murder suspect Brian Sturgeon made his first court appearance Friday afternoon, where he actually spoke out saying he didn't kill Jandie Finley.
Deputies say Sturgeon shot Finley in the head, killing her. But according to warrants he didn't stop there. Warrants say Sturgeon drove around with Finley's body in the car asking people for help dumping her remains and getting rid of the vehicle.
"I didn't kill your daughter and I'm sorry all this has happened. It's a nasty, nasty situation," said Sturgeon.
"But you're still confident now he is the killer?”
“Our investigators were able to obtain probable cause that he is the suspect in this homicide and using the probable cause, we got this warrant," said Master Deputy Michael Hildebrand with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
