Members of Crime Stoppers have announced today that the reward money for information in relation to two recent armed robberies has been raised to $10,000. The town of Honea Path, Honea Path PD, had an armed robbery on July 22 at the Stop A Minit and also the Anderson County Sheriff's Office had an armed robbery on July 23 (Corner Mart 9:45 pm) in Sandy Springs.

Anyone with any information is asked to please call Crime Stoppers at (864) 231-STOP.

Also, Crenshaw says there’ve been 14 armed robberies in the county, one in Honea Path and one or two in Anderson where similar suspects robbed convenience stores. He can’t say that they’re all definitely related, but there are similarities they’re looking at.

The office has released a sketch of one of the possible suspects.

Chief David King, Honea Path Police Department, said he was pleased with the increase in the reward.

“We do seem to get an increase in response and naturally some people inside this organization or that may have information. The more (the reward) goes up maybe their willingness to come forward goes up," he said.
