The recent Cruise 4 UR School fundraiser sponsored by Ford and George Coleman Ford here in Travelers Rest raised $1,740 Travelers Rest High School. The event allowed people to test drive one of many new Ford vehicles. For every individual who participated, Ford and George Coleman Ford donated $20 to Travelers Rest High School. Eighty-seven people completed test drives at this unique event.

"The event was a great success," said Gregg Coleman, President of George Coleman Ford. "I would like to thank everyone who came out and helped us raise $1,740 for the Travelers Rest High School Booster Club. We are already looking for ways to do this type of community project again."

By participating in this event, Travelers Rest High School has been entered into a Ford nationwide sales competition. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize* ($15,000, $10,000 and $5,000) given to the high schools that generate the most new Ford Division sales!

Across the country, hundreds of Ford dealers are partnering with local high schools to host Cruise 4 UR School events, just like they did here in Travelers Rest. Ford is contributing up to $6,000 -- the equivalent of 300 test drives -- to each participating school, which can be used to support various programs and activities.
