Christy Henderson, Storm Team 7's Chief Meteorologist, says we can expect scattered, mainly light rain showers to move over the Upstate with isolated showers over Western NC during the early evening hours Thursday.
Some roads will be wet for the drive home, and winds will pick up as a cold front makes its way across the area.
The front will cross the Western Carolinas between 4pm and 8 pm, switching the winds around the west and northwest overnight. '
Clouds will linger after midnight, but the rain will have moved out. Any wet roadways should dry out by Friday morning for the commute, and breezy northerly winds will keep a chill in the air.
