Simpsonville Police say they arrested Randall Williams of Greenville and charged him with making meth after they discovered a meth lab on wheels Thursday morning.
Police say Williams is also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime, and Violation of a Court Order of Protection.
Officer say they were called to the Spinx station at 697 Fairview Road in Simpsonville after getting a call that Williams was in violation of a court order. Williams is not allowed to contact his ex-wife.
After investigating the complaint, officers say they arrested Williams who they say admitted to having meth.
A search of Williams car revealed a mobile meth lab. A shotgun was also in the vehicle.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office cleaned up the scene after Williams was arrested.
Officials say no one was injured.
Police did say tanks found at the scene were full of explosive chemicals, such as anhydrous ammonia.
Williams is being held in the Greenville County Detention Center.
The Department of Justice's most recent numbers show methamphetamine manufacture and abuse has shown a steady decrease over the past two reported years in South Carolina from 2005 to 2007.
The number of reported meth lab incidents was 116 in 2004, but that number dropped down to 69 two years later.
During 2006, South Carolina passed legislation to curb indiscriminate access to over-the-counter cold and allergy medications containing pseudo ephedrine to help curb the manufacture of the drug.
