The Highway Patrol says a vehicle ran into a house on Reedy River Way in Piedmont Tuesday at about 4pm, and the driver, 18-year-old Thomas Coughlin, is charged with reckless driving.
Troopers say Coughlin was coming around the curve when he says he lost control, went through one home's yard and slammed into another home's garage. Troopers say he hit the garage at the power box which caused a small fire.
He was driving a 1997 Suzuki Esteem.
Coughlin told a News Channel 7 reporter he hit curb and lost control. Coughlin says he lives in the neighborhood and is glad to be OK.
