An area family has a lot to be thankful about this Christmas. Their son, who had a life threatening illness, is making strides to recovery.
16-year-old Ethan Brown of Liberty has neurofibromatosis, which produces tumors on his nerves. Recently Ethan underwent major brain surgery to remove tumors from his head. Although the surgery has left him legally deaf and he needs help to walk, he is not only thankful to be a live, but grateful for the community support he has been given.
Ethan can hear with the help of a cochlear implant. He also hopes to one day play football again.
