Miss Lexington, Anna Perry, was crowned the new Miss South Carolina Saturday night at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. She won a $20,000.00 scholarship and will go on to compete in the Miss America pageant in Las Vegas in January.
There were 51 ladies competing in the contest this year.
Seventeen year old, Taylor Fitch, took home the crown of Miss Teen South Carolina 2008 also Saturday night. She wins a $5,000.00 savings bond. She goes on to compete at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando next month.
Fitch,from Anderson, competed against 41 contestants.
