One of Anderson County's 10 most wanted criminals was arrested Friday and is being held without bond in the Anderson County Detention Center, say reports from the Anderson Independent-Mail.
Charles Griswold, 37, of 526 Rolling Hill Circle in Easley made the list for crimes he allegedly committed between Jan. 30 and Feb. 11, according to Susann Griffin, spokeswoman for the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.
Griswold is charged with two counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary and two counts of grand larceny, according to detention records.
According to incident reports, Griswold and three other men allegedly attempted to force their way into a Liberty home, bear-hugged a woman and assaulted her boyfriend about 11:45 p.m. Jan. 30.
About 3:15 p.m. Feb. 9, Griswold allegedly stole items valued at $2,200 from an Easley home.
And between Feb. 10 and 11, Griswold allegedly burglarized sound equipment valued at about $6,000 and $120 cash from Lighthouse Baptist Church on Randall Road in Easley.
About six months ago, deputies arrested David Boyd, 31, of 304 Red Firm Ct. and accused him in each of the same incidents that Griswald is charged with, according to reports.
