For the second time in a week a Delta pilot makes an emergency landing at GSP International Airport. We are told the pilot safely landed the plane after suspecting a fire aboard the aircraft. What we know so far is that all passengers are off of the plane at this time and everyone is safe and sound. The call came in about 10:45 a.m. and the pilot safely landed the plane by 10:51a.m. This was flight 4283 and was destined for GSP,coming from Atlanta. The flight was a Delta flight, but it is run by ASA. Officials tell us the pilot was in the air when he thought a fire had started in the cargo holder. The pilot safely landed the plane and all passengers made it off with their luggage. Officials say they did not find a fire when they checked out the plane. This is the second emergency by a Delta pilot in a week. Last Wednesday another pilot landed here after reports of an engine failure.
