Four dogs in Greenville were rescued after one died, according to a Greenville Animal Control Officer.
In what may be a case of animal cruelty -- police and animal control are still investigating -- police told News Channel 7 that at least one of the five animals was kept on a "very short chain" in a Greenville backyard without food or water for what appears to be an extended amount of time.
While charges haven't been filed in the case, animal control and police are looking for the owners.
