The National Weather Service says rain showers and thunderstorms will move across the Carolinas and northeast Georgia Tuesday afternoon.
Several of those storms are forecast to be strong to severe.
The NWS says damaging winds, large hail and frequent cloud to ground lightning could be produced by some of those storms.
Storm Team 7 meteorologist Dan Bickford is calling for a high temperature in the Upstate of 95 degrees Tuesday and expects hot and humid conditions will continue until Thursday.
