The South Carolina State Election Commission reports light voter turnout throughout most of the state Tuesday.
As more voters head to the polls, the S.C. Election Commission would like to remind voters of the following:
1. South Carolina voters who have questions regarding the voting process should visit www.scvotes.org or call their county election commission. This will allow election officials to quickly address any potential concerns and help ensure the general election runs efficiently at precincts statewide.
2. South Carolina voters are required to show any one of three forms of identification in order to vote: voter registration card, driver's license, or a picture ID issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
3. State law prohibits voters from voting in more than one primary election held on the same day. Remember, if you vote in one party's primary, you are not eligible to vote in the other party's runoff. If you do not vote in either primary, you may vote in either party's runoff.
