Two new faces will be heading to Columbia to represent you from Greenville County.
Newcomer Wendy Nanney beat out incumbent Gloria Haskins for the District 22 House Seat on the Republican ticket. Haskins has been there since 2001 when her husband Terry died while in office. She was then re-elected.
Nanney says she has ideas for what she would bring to the State House. "Certainly immigration has been an issue and I think we can work to strengthen that definitely. We also have to do something about spending," Nanney told us surrounded by supporters Tuesday night.
In the District 23 House seat, another upset.
Incumbent Fletcher Smith fell by less than 100 votes to challenger Chandra Dillard.
Fletcher has held the seat for the last 12 years. He served on Greenville County Council before that for 8 years.
Chandra Dillard is a former Greenville City Councilor, serving on that board since 1999. Dillard says she is happy to move on to Columbia with goals of creating jobs, affordable housing and a strong education for our young people.
"I think voters count on a team player. Some one who will show up, roll up their sleeves and take on different challenges and try to come up with different solutions," Dillard told News Channel 7 from her victory party.
Voter turnout in Greenville County was low. Finally tallies put it just over 15%
