The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a hit and run accident that left a pedestrian dead in Greenville County.
Highway Patrol says it happened around 10:30 Friday night on White Horse Road at Cochran Drive. Greenville County Deputy Coroner Kent Dill says that 46-year old Andrea Tara Hawisher, of 906 Motorboat Road in Greenville, died as a result of multiple trauma injuries when she was struck.
Officers say the female was in the left lane when she was struck by a driver going north. The vehicle involved was possible a dark colored Ford pick-up truck and will have damage to the front of the truck.
SCHP is asking the public to call their office with any information at 241-1000.
