Lee Bright has defeated Scott Talley for the open State Senate District 12 seat in Spartanburg. Final numbers show Bright defeated Talley 3899-3701 in tonight's runoff. Talley was ahead of Bright in the final primary numbers two weeks ago, but the vote was close enough to force a runoff. The Distirct 12 seat is being vacated by John Hawkins. Talley has been a House member since 2000. There is no Democratic opposition in November.
