Two Union County High School students have been charged after police say one 16-year old sold pills to another teenager on campus.
The Union County Police report says school officials learned one of the students had some pills in his possession last Thursday. School officials searched a student's locker before police say he admitted having pills in his bookbag in a pair of gloves.
The student told a police officer he brought the pills from home to sell. Union Public Safety says the pills have to be analyzed by SLED to determine exactly what they are because the boy did not have them in a bottle, but they believe it is some type of prescription medication.
The student says he sold some of the pills to another student for ten dollars.
The second student was found and the Union officer says he found pills that appeared to be like the ones the other teenager had in his bookbag.
One student was charged with distribution of a control substance and distribution within a half mile of a school.
The second teenager - also 16 years old - was charged with possession of a control substance.
