A group of taxpayers plan to march outside Anderson County's Administration Building today because they are upset and frustrated over hard-to-get public information. Over the past five months, News Channel 7 showed you the county's reluctance to share public information. The most recent issue--how the county refuses to share all of the administrator's personnel evaluations. In December, the county initially denied two council members access to back-up receipts for county credit cards. We also took on this fight and eventually dug through month’s worth of county credit card receipts. Here's what our investigation shed light on: out of town trips with no explanation, meals-sometimes hundreds of dollars over the per diem allowance, and charges with no back-up receipts. The march is planned from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday afternoon outside the county administration building in Downtown Anderson. Organizers expect 25 people or more attend the demonstration.
