Greenville Police are investigating to see if a body found in Laurens County could be that of a robber that ripped off an FBI agent.
A week ago an FBI agent was robbed in front of the Peace Center. She shot at the two robbers as they ran.
The robbery at The Peace Center was Sunday, April 27. Police say a body found in Laurens had been there about a week.
The body was found around 8:00p.m. Tuesday off Narnie Road, according to Laurens County Sheriff Ricky Chastain. A couple looking for scrap metal was in the area, found the body and called 911, Chastain says. The victim died of a gunshot wound, according to Chastain, but because of the condition of the body, they have been unable to verify an age or race yet.
