A Spartanburg County judge revokes bond for a teenager charged with running over and killing a retired deputy who was mowing his lawn.
Prosecutors say 18-year-old Daniel Bailey was driving about 75 miles per hour through Pacolet and passing cars on double-yellow lines before the crash. The speed limit on that road is 35 miles per hour. Deputies say Bailey ran off the road and hit and killed 61-year-old Steve Spears as he mowed his lawn.
Bailey was out on bond on burglary charges at the time of the crash. Because the judge revoked his bond Thursday morning, Bailey will be put back in jail.
