An arrest has been made in armed robbery of three people, including an off-duty FBI agent. It happened April 27 in front of the Peace Center on South Main Street. Greenville Police say their investigation led them to Lexington City, N.C., in search of a person of interest. There, they charged Elmer David Cespedes-Orozco, 23, with three counts of armed robbery and gun charges. Cespedes-Orozco waived extradition and was transported to the Greenville County Law Enforcement Center Thursday.
Investigators say Cespedes-Orozco was the get-away driver, but they are still looking for the second suspect. Greenville Police is working with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Lexington City Police, and the Laurens County Sheriff's Office to determine if the body found in Laurens County Wednesday is the other suspect.
