Freedom Weekend Aloft May 24-26

Freedom Weekend Aloft returns to the Upstate for Memorial Day weekend. The annual balloon and family fun festival will be held May 24-26 at Heritage Park in Simpsonville.
 
The festival hours will be Saturday May 24 and Sunday May 25 from 10:00am until 11:00pm. The hours on Memorial Day May 26 are from 10:00am until 10:00pm.
 
Admission to Freedom Weekend Aloft is free, but you'll have to buy tickets for some of the musical acts. Montgomery Gentry, Huey Lewis and The News, Natasha Bedingfield and Jeremy McComb are scheduled to appear. Tickets range in price from $25-$35. Call ticketmaster at (864) 233-2525 for more information.
 
Parking is $5 per car with the Park And Ride program. Freedom Weekend will provide shuttle service to and from parking lots surrounding Heritage Park.
 
All Parking for Freedom weekend Aloft is located within half a mile of Heritage Park.
 
The hot air balloon schedule is as follows:
 
Saturday, May 24 - 6-8 PM
Sunday, May 25 - 6-8 PM
Monday, May 26 - 6-8 PM
 
Balloons are visibile on site only during above windows. The balloons, due to winds, can only inflate and fly during early morning or evening hours. They do not fly during the day.
