Fire caused some light smoke damage and a power outage at Clemson University's Littlejohn Coliseum Sunday night.
Clemson University Fire Chief Bill Shivar tells News Channel 7 that an electrical short in a junction box, located underground outside Littlejohn, sparked the fire around 8:35pm Sunday night.
Littlejohn Coliseum was empty and closed at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. Besides the repairs needed to the electrical box there was only light smoke that got into the arena.
Shivar says Littlejohn Coliseum's lights are operating on generators Monday morning with power shut off while repairs are made to the junction box.
