Laurens was invaded by veterans Tuesday afternoon in honor of Veterans Day, as armored vehicles drove from Laurens High down Highway 176 to downtown Laurens.
While there, the vehicles joined up with troops who just returned from Afghanistan along with veterans of previous wars.
The parade continued downtown where they laid a wreath at the courthouse. The event also featured a 21-gun salute and a moment of silence for fallen veterans.
They also had a flyover featuring army helicopters.
