Piedmont Blood Center Needs More Blood

Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties are in desperate need of blood, according to Bart Green, the director of donor services in the area.
Green said the Piedmont Blood Center -- at 175 Dunbar Street, Spartanburg -- needs O type blood, both positive and negative, especially negative.
Green is encouraging area residents to donate tonight. The Center is holding extended hours Thursday night and will be open until 7pm.
