Henderson County cut 11 employees from the budget, according to our coverage partner The Hendersonville Times-News.
The paper reported the employees will be let go on Dec. 31. In addition, the county commissioners have also delayed the purchase of 18 cars.
Both moves are part of a plan to cut $1.48 million from the county’s budget.
Commissioners agreed to the cut on Nov. 3.
The county has 783 full-time and part-time employees the newspaper reported.
