Today marks the one year anniversary since a woman vanished from Gaffney and her family is still searching for answers.
A month after Verlisha Littlejohn disappeared, investigators found her car and unclothed body at different spots in the Broad River.
Verlisha's mother thinks someone drowned her. On the night she disappeared her mother received a panicked phone call from her daughter that was suddenly disconnected.
A few months ago, he sheriff said Verlisha's death appeared to be a suicide but the coroner says he hasn't found the evidence to support that.
In fact he says he's never seen a suicide where someone took off their clothes before drowning themselves.
"It's just one of those situations where you want to make sure how those clothes came off, and it is quite uncertain as to how those clothes got off, especially after her vehicle being found several miles from where her body was found," Coroner Dennis Fowler said.
The coroner still wants to find the clothes Verlisha was wearing when she disappeared.
She was dressed in black pants, a purple t-shirt and a blue and white scarf.
If you see something like this especially near the Broad River call the coroner's office at 864-487-6225.
There is a $5,000 reward.
